Binscott House Greenham

This project was to save a lovely dilapidated Grade 2 listed farmhouse, Brinscott House, in Mid Devon and to propose wholesale thermal improvements.

Great care was taken to work with the client, conservation officer and natural building material manufacturers to ensure a sympathetic method of retrofitting this building. The proposal was a design that not only worked with the various historic features of the farmhouse, but also ensured that no further damage would occur due to the incorrect use of materials.

This project also made use of specialist joinery manufacturers, who have created new double glazed windows that meet with listed building requirements and deliver an improved thermal performance.

Works were complete in 2021. The house was sold in 2023 and following the successful work by Fox Eco Architects, we were invited to work on the clients next building project.
